I only know what was in his file - which wasn't much. The victims were two women. A television announcer Yamano Mayumi who had an alleged affair with Secretary Namatame. She disappeared from the inn she was staying at in Inaba with no evidence of her leaving only to be the next day after the fog lifted dangling between television poles. Adachi-san said he "saw" her first but the rest of it is redacted.
She was found by his second victim, Konishi Saki. She was a student at Yasogami high. He had interviewed her about her alibi, but that is the only thing mentioned in the file about his contact with her. She was eventually found, again after the fog lifted hanging from an antenna pole.
He apparently confessed to his crimes - but whatever he confessed to they questioned the validity of it. A lot of his confession is redacted and I unfortunately did not dig deep enough to find out why. He was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of improper disposal of a corpse, disrupting the public, multiple counts of evidence destruction, and conduct unbecoming a police officer.
[ Oh boy, here we go. Time to be a responsible adult and take care of the elephant that was creeping around behind him. Because let's face it, there's only one way the others found out about his past, and considering Adachi basically started it, he may as well find out a way to finish it, or at least take a step toward making things amicable. ]
We need to talk. I'll let you choose the location as long as we can agree not to involve everyone. We saw how well that worked out last time.
[Akira was in a room, dimly lit, that was very clearly not his own if the fact that he was in his thief outfit was any clue.
He kept his voice low, but figured that if anyone was good to call for this thing, it'd be Akechi.]
Hey, you said you'd help me out if you could, right? Could you help me set up a convincing peg board? For like... detective stuff. You know the kind, I'm sure you do!
[Whenever Akechi decides to step outside his house this morning, he'll find a familiar looking silver bengal kitten sitting on his doorstep, tail swaying back and forth behind him. Just how long has he been waiting out here?]
[ He has to shove Justine back a little bit when he notices the kitten. The very same kitten that he was considering adopting back in Heropa. How was it possible that it was here on his doorstep?
He can't help but crouch down with a smile, reaching out cautiously. ]
[Akira has been quiet lately, and hadn't really left the house since he'd come back from his three days missing. He did his best not to look too dejected when Goro was around, but at some point, he just... flops onto the couch, whenever he finds Goro there, and he immediately finds himself leaning on him a little bit.]
Is it weird how comfortable this is?
[Didn't mean he'd stop, but was it weird??? It was definitely weird. It was definitely weird how comfortable Akira was around him in general, right? Oh well. He WAS comfortable, and he kind of needed that right now.]
[ He sets down his book, a soft expression on his face as he looks over Akira. It wasn't weird how comfortable they were with each other. Despite wanting distance, time to think, he was beginning to wonder if they could be more then simply friends.
It wasn't the best time to bring it up, however. Goro knew something was wrong, Akira keeping himself closed in. It wasn't healthy but... everyone had their own methods of coping. Whatever happened he would have to wait until Akira came to him. ]
I thought living on my own was enough... I do rather enjoy having someone else around.
[ So...over Valentine's Day, Yusuke discovered pancake art for the first time. he felt like a fool for not thinking of it sooner, anything that combines food and portraiture earns a spot in his heart FOR SURE.
Around breakfast time, Goro receives a portrait of himself. In pancake form. ]
[Whenever Goro comes home, he might find that it was a little quieter than usual. Justine probably comes to greet him, excited to see someone(for pets!!!!), and whenever he gets to his room, he'd find his bed well-made, all pressed and clean, with a few things sitting in the middle of the bed.
Two handguns, one etched with a heart and one etched with a skull, sit crossing over each other, along with a key. These three things have a note underneath them, saying only two words and a heart:
Back Soon ♥
The handguns function as regular handguns, except that the one with a heart also inflicts a Charm status, and the one with a skull inflicts Fear, and the key goes to Akira's big ass chest of weapons, hidden in his closet. It has pretty much any kind of firearm that the thieves could need, but no melee weapons aside from his knives. Sorry, everyone!]
[ It's early morning when she nervously starts sending texts to Goro. Having not slept very well the previous night, Haru's been up for a couple of hours already, deliberating over saying anything at all.
The longer she fixates on not saying anything, the harder it becomes. It's been a year for her, and though most times she doesn't dwell on what happened anymore, the closer this day came the more thoughts poured into her head. Thoughts that had grown louder and louder, until she finds herself sitting upright in her bed with the communicator on and facing a blinking cursor in the text field, Goro's name in a corner.
